It all began as part of university research projects. 10 years later, experts from Europe, South America and Japan had finished developing the MetGIS algorithm.
The combined specialist knowledge from the fields of meteorology, geographical information systems, software development and snow research made extremely accurate forecasts possible. The forecast quality was astounding in several verification studies. As more and more customers “came knocking”, MetGIS GmbH was founded.
