MetGIS is pleased to announce its nomination for the Global Hydrometeorological Excellence Awards in the category “Best Application of GIS in Meteorology and Climate Services.” The Global Hydrometeorological Excellence Awards acknowledge the most substantial contributions in the domains of meteorology, hydrology, and climate services worldwide.

The event, hosted by Varysian, was held on October 13, 2025, at the distinguished Park Hyatt Vienna. The event brought together notable figures from the public and private sectors, along with experts in cutting-edge research.

The shortlist and winners in each category were selected by a jury of experts. These included leading representatives from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the US University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), and national weather services from around the world.
